Douglas Bonnell is a Native American flutist who records under the pseudonym of Douglas Blue Feather. He has won four Native American Music Awards, including Best New Age Recording, Best Flutist of the Year, and Best Independent Recording of the Year.
Blue Feather has released seven albums. Although both Eastern Band and Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma say Blue Feather is not a member of their tribe, he maintains claims of Cherokee heritage because of a DNA test he took. By law Douglas Blue Feather is not a Cblherokee because he is not a member of the tribe, nor does he have a government card issued by the Bureau of Indian Affairs stating his Cherokee blood quantum. He is a white man breaking the law by using deceptive marketing practice which is prohibited by the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990, and I am turning him in to the Department of Interior and the Ohio Attorney General. We'll lsee who long he continues to market his work as Cherokee when he is not abiding by the Indian Arts and Craft Law which is designed to protect Native Americans from culture vultures like him. Douglas Bonnell is also a retired police officer from Dayton, Ohio.

Help real Native Americans by buying real Native American products from enrolled tribal members instead of wannabes ripping people off by false marketing tactics. Ask a person what tribe they are enrolled in.
